Extra Life Designs is a veteran-owned 3D printing and laser engraving studio based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Everything we sell is designed, printed, and finished by hand — one order at a time.
Who We Are
Extra Life Designs LLC is a registered North Carolina business owned and operated by Michael Blair, a U.S. military veteran. It started as a workshop hobby and grew into a full studio running a fleet of FDM printers alongside a laser engraver.
There’s no warehouse and no dropshipping here. When you place an order, it gets printed on our machines, checked by hand, and packed by the same person who answers your email.
What We Make
- Photo lithophanes — your image printed into a panel that stays blank until it’s backlit, then reveals the full picture
- HueForge wall art — layered-color prints with real physical depth
- Articulated dragons — fully poseable, printed in two-color gradients, no assembly needed
- Forever Roses — printed roses that never wilt, in single stems through full bouquets
- Custom printing — send a sketch, photo, or STL file and we’ll quote it
- Laser engraving — personalized text and designs on wood and other materials
How We Work
Almost everything is made to order, which is why most items ship in 3–5 business days rather than the same afternoon. That wait is the tradeoff for getting something built for you specifically, in the color and configuration you picked, instead of pulled off a shelf.
For personalized pieces, we confirm details with you before production starts. If something arrives damaged or defective, we replace it or refund it — see our Refund & Returns Policy.
